We are praying for co-laborers.
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest — and consider whether He might be sending you.
After eighteen years, God has given the Harmons a congregation, a building, and momentum — and a burden bigger than one family can carry. They are asking God for another couple or missionary — a Uruguayan national or an American — to join the work in Durazno and help it reproduce throughout the interior.
What the work involves
- ·Patient, relational evangelism and discipleship — much of it in homes, over mate and asado
- ·Teaching and shepherding a young congregation toward maturity and national leadership
- ·Ministry to children, teens, and women — the most open doors in the culture
- ·Learning to love a secular people in a slow field where faithfulness matters more than speed
The partner we're praying for
Someone doctrinally grounded and in agreement with an independent Baptist church-planting philosophy; a servant willing to work under and alongside others; resilient enough for a slow, secular field; and captivated by the vision of churches planting churches across Uruguay's interior.
